• The Metanium in size 101 has been designed with a specification that is positioned between the two extremes of lures with different characteristics. It excels in situations where a generous line capacity is required, such as fishing on large lakes or in deeper waters. Nevertheless, it retains the lightweight feel that characterizes the conventional Metanium. This unit expands the range of reels available and allows for strategic use.
  The Shimano Metanium 101 is a tournament quality baitcasting reel designed for serious anglers. It is ultra-lightweight and offers exceptionally smooth performance, allowing you to concentrate fully on fishing. Two key features contribute to its smoothness: the one-piece Coresolid frame construction and the micromodule gear system. The one-piece Coresolid main frame increases the stability of the entire body. The gearbox shell is also made of a magnesium alloy, which makes it both strong and light. The spool holder is made of aluminum. The micro-module gears reduce gear noise by half and ensure a silky-smooth gearbox and extended gear life. The Magnum Light Spool III, a lightweight spool, is ideal for light rigs and enables long casting distances.
